
Love is in the air!
I’m not really a huge fan of celebrating days such as Valentines day (I don’t need a special day to tell my loved ones I love them – we should be doing that everyday!)
However, I do love to crochet, and crochet hearts are super cute – and very easy to make! And I am definitely a huge fan of quick, simple and easy makes that also look great!
If you are looking for a super simple, small, quick and easy crochet heart pattern, then look no further!
This heart pattern is made up of basic crochet stitches worked in the round (so you just keep working around – you don’t turn the work)

What you’ll need:
- some DK weight yarn – I’m using Scheepjes SoftFun DK
- 4mm crochet hook
- A pair of scissors
- Yarn needle – for weaving in the ends
Pattern
UK Terms
- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- htr = half treble crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- st(s) = stitch(es)
- tr = treble crochet
Foundation Round: Make a slip knot and place on your hook, make 4ch, and sl st in fourth ch from hook to form a ring

Round 1: 1ch, 7dc in the ring you’ve just made, sl st in the first st to join the round

Round 2: 3ch (counts as 1tr), 1tr in same st, 2tr in next st, 1htr in next st, 3htr in next st, 1htr in next st, 2tr in next st, 1tr in last st, 3ch, and sl st in same st

Cut the yarn and use your yarn needle to weave in the ends.

Then make as many as you desire! You can give them to your loved ones as little gifts, or you can attach them as pretty decorations, or just look at them and enjoy!
